Avery Dennison has released S2550, a high-performance general-purpose permanent adhesive. According to the company, the adhesive delivers excellent initial tack and adhesion, especially at lower temperatures, without sacrificing high-speed converting.

S2550 has improved performance in cold, dry temperatures and allows converting at the same or better speeds as S2501. With other general-purpose adhesives, low initial tack at the time of application in temperatures below 40° F could cause the label to lift.

“S2550 was engineered so converters and their customers never have to compromise on application performance in cold application temperatures,” says Don Berger, product line director, Avery Dennison.

The launch of S2550 initially includes five thermal transfer specifications. All of the new products are available on the EXACT service program in different splice-free and length specifications.
